I am the director of the Scoliosis Center PA, which is a division of the Pediatric Orthopedic Center. The Scoliosis Center is distinctive as it offers in-office bracing, which provides exceptional non-operative scoliosis management and minimizes the need for surgery. We are the only practice in northern New Jersey that provides in-office, low-dose-radiation EOS X-rays, which use 10 to 50 times less radiation when imaging the spine and limbs to create 3-D images for surgical planning when needed. I work with world-renowned surgeons for deformity surgery and perform anterior vertebral body-tethering surgery, which preserves spinal motion. We use the scoliosis Rapid Recovery Pathway, which decreases a child’s hospital stay to as little as two days, lowers the need for narcotics, and provides for a rapid recovery to normal activities. I continue to provide the highest standard of care for sports, shoulder, hip, and foot and ankle musculoskeletal issues, while treating each child and young adult with empathy and compassion, exactly as if they were my own children, and making sure the family is well-informed every step of the way. My office is unique in that I both evaluate and treat hip dysplasia during the same office visit. I am the only doctor in New Jersey certified in Ponseti non-operative treatment of clubfoot, and I am especially proud to continue to lecture and educate my colleagues and the next generation of medical professionals on a variety of pediatric orthopedic issues.
